Above the Below: story and trailer overview
The story
Three astronauts survive a space disaster but crash into the ocean and become trapped on the seafloor with no contact with mission control and dwindling oxygen. The film follows their scramble to stay alive as time and the crushing depths force urgent, life-or-death decisions.
Why it works
The situation sets up a classic enclosed survival drama: isolation, dwindling resources, and rising external hazards beneath the waves. The premise supports intense interpersonal pressure and technical problem-solving as the crew confronts impossible choices while oxygen and time run out.
What to expect
We think the story will emphasize tense moral choices and claustrophobic survival tactics, focusing on how the trio manages oxygen, equipment, and trust under extreme stress. Expect escalating obstacles rather than guaranteed rescue scenes.
Our take
For us, Above The Below promises a taut survival thriller driven by desperate choices and pressure-cooker tension on the ocean floor.
