Amityville Shark House: story and trailer overview
The story
Deep within the Amityville house, a new, uncanny threat emerges when Richard uncovers an ominous shark idol beneath decaying floorboards. That discovery unknowingly awakens an ancient, savage force that begins to merge with him, turning a quiet coastal community into a blood-soaked nightmare. The premise suggests escalating physical and supernatural horror centered on possession and transformation, with local order unraveling as the predator’s influence spreads.
Why it works
The trailer’s hook is a classic combination of haunted-house lore and monstrous metamorphosis: "Deep within the infamous Amityville house of horror, an even more terrifying evil is rising to the surface." Linking a tangible object—"an ominous shark idol hidden beneath the decaying floorboards"—to the awakening of "an ancient and savage force" gives a clear inciting incident. Marketing can lean on Amityville name recognition while promising creature-driven, cult-tinged stakes.
What to expect
Expect a story about an ordinary town consumed by escalating violence as an entity merges with a man and amplifies its power. The description emphasizes growing carnage and cult belief: "With each victim claimed, the monstrous predator grows stronger, fueling a cult’s belief that their dark god has been reborn." Anticipate supernatural possession, blood-soaked chaos, and a desperate attempt to stop the threat.
Our take
A concept that blends Amityville mythology with creature-horror and cult dynamics; promising for viewers who like supernatural possession and escalating, visceral stakes.
