Most music played in the background of movie trailers doesn’t belong to that movie but rather is borrowed from another source, often from the soundtrack of a previously released film. A prime example of a borrowed track is “Nuke” (from the “Broken Arrow” soundtrack), which I’ve recognized in the trailers for at least three other movies. I’ve tried IMDB with no success. I e-mailed the Yahoo! movies guy, with no response. Any suggestions on how to determine the source of a movie trailer’s background music?

You may have to contact the film studio for the source of music for the trailers, as the score for the movie is normally composed after the film is finished.
