Who is the voice behind the movie trailers?

Why is there always a deep voice when movie trailers begin. Who does these and does this person get any credit? Its the voice that comes up when the movie trailer begins and always sound the same deep soothing and resenating voice that start with something like ‘A NEW LEGEND IS BORN’ then the trailer begins with the voice continuing throughout.

    Don Lafontaine is the most famous. He has his own website. He has a studio at home and can do recording there.
