I’ve noticed that many times too! It sucks! You’d think it would be considered false advertisement. However I do think that it’s because most often, the trailer is made before the movie is actually completely finished and some of those scenes are cut out. They may not have time, or want to pay for the expense, of cutting a new trailer.

Yes I’ve noticed that but why would you want to pay for a movie when you saw all the funny parts in the trailer….Napoleon Dynamite and Orange County come to mind for me. It’s just a way to secure entertainment in the film.

nope, dun think so,but sumtimes they hv 2 or 3 different version/ending of the movie.but if what u mention just nw is correct….maybe is bcoz they take out the scene due to many various reasons.

they only have the best scenes ! so that you think the movie is good and that there is more exciting things to it ,,, but when you watch it you realize that the movie sucks and its just about the trailer !!
this happens to me most of the time and i hate it !

  6. MissDelanne Says:

Often this happens because the trailers are released to the theater before the final editing and production of the film are completed. Some of the scenes in the trailer are cut from the final edit of the movie. Some movies, after being viewed by test audiences, are completely re worked, re edited and even new scenes can be shot to change the original concept of the movie. What started as a crime drama can end up as a romantic comedy.

Probably because some of the best scenes end up on the editing room floor! If you want to see how the movie was intended to come out you need to watch the ‘directors cut’ if one was made!

ITS NOT SO AS THE ORIGINAL THE FILM SPONSERS TRIES TO CAPTURE THE EYES OF PUBLIC AND IT MAKES MORE ANIMATION OR MUSIC IN IT RATHER IN THE ORIGINAL.

  9. slickkittykattwhopurs Says:

    Well, two reasons:

    1) In capturing the essence of the movie, the scene they select for a trailer or commercial is pulled from the cutting room so the chances are 50/50 but the importance is the scene they are showing tells you enough to go see the movie.

    2) A lot of times, when a trailer is shown the movie isn’t actually finished. So during advertising and making of the trailer, the movie isn’t done so a scene they pull for a trailer may not be a scene in the actual movie but was part of the process.
